How to make your home attractive

This is where the majority of people get it wrong!

They adevertise there house for sale and expect everything to be done for them - do not do this!!

Instead make your home as clean and as neutral and as inviting as possible.

The main things you need to do are:

De-Clutter - get rid of the junk.Carboot it, advertise it on a classified ads site, put it in the paper, give it to charity or if  you really must keep it box it and put it in the loft or in storage.

Outside is just as important as insideWhen viewers first pull up the first impression counts. They want to see a well kept garden, neat and tidy path. A clean front door and door step etc. Also if at all possible dont leave the wheelie bin in front of the house - it just looks awful!

Clean and tidy but lived inThere is a very fine line between clean and tidy and lived in. Your house has to be clean and tidy there is no doubt about that but do make sure that it looks like you live there. Put some vegetables in water in a saucepan on the hob - ready to cook for tonights tea (do not put the hob on). Have a cup of coffee on the table in the lounge with a magazine - it looks like you have been comfy waiting for them to arrive and the coffee smells great!

Put the lights on - even in the dayWhen people look round your house they want to see it! Put all of your lights on and lamps. The more they can see the lighter and airy your rooms will feel - they will love it!

Moving home list making

When moving home it is essential that you make a list - ok several lists!

There is so much to think about and do when you move home which makes lists essential.

The lists you will need to write are:

1. What do we need on the day

2. List of utilities, gas, elec etc

3. List of companies who you need to update with your address

4. List of things you need for the first week after the move

5. List of jobs to be done before you move
